EXCURSION
The conference excursions are planned on September 7, Friday, from 7:30 to 15:00. These trips will provide opportunities to visit Slovak cultural heritage sites and to see agricultural land along the way.
Excursion 1 - Komárno
- departure – 7:30 from parking lot along ŠD A. Bernolák (Congress center)
- visit of the Old and New Komarno Fortresses – the biggest defensive system in Central Europe, which was nominated to the list of UNESCO world heritage
- visit of The Europe square - The Europe Square, built in 2001 is a Disney-like area in the center, purporting to represent buildings from all parts of Europe. The buildings function as shops and restaurants
- sight-seeing of general Klapka square - named after György Klapka, the Hungarian general who defended Komárno against the Austrians in the War of Independence
- lunch
- visit of J. Selye University in the historical buildings of Komárno
- expected arrival to Nitra – 15:00
- excursion fee = 20 Eur. The fee involves all excursion expenses including lunch and refreshment
Excursion 2 - Topoľčianky
- departure – 8:00 from parking lot along ŠD A. Bernoláka (Congress center)
- visit of the National Stud Farm in Topoľčianky (http://sk.nztopolcianky.sk/index.php/en/), which is known as being one of the most important breeding centers in all of Europe. Presentation of various breeds will be part of the visit. There will be possibility of photography.
- visit of Chateau Topoľčianky (www.zamok-topolcianky.sk) one of the best known and valuable chateau in Slovakia
- lunch
- wine-tasting at the winery Topoľčianky (http://www.vinotop.sk/pages/en/about-us.php?lang=EN)
- expected arrival to Nitra – 15:00
- excursion fee = 35 Eur. The fee involves all excursion expenses including lunch
We kindly ask you to pay excursion expenses in cash during registration. Excursion will be realized during the third day of the conference. Number of seats in buses is limited (Komárno max. 45, Topoľčianky max. 50). Booking will be on the basis of the first come the first served. The current number of vacancies will be listed on the conference web site.
